A belated “Happy Mother’s Day” to all the women in the family of Marine
Reach. Hope you had a great celebration on your special day!
Speaking of celebrations, I am happy to report to you the outcomes of
our most recent medical programs in Fiji, and on the right of the page
an update from the YWAM Ship Tour of Australia.
Our Medical Teams continue to traverse the heart of Fiji targeting the
Mount Victoria area in northern Viti Levu. Various outreaches were
conducted in villages of Nailuva, Burenitu, and Naiyeluva - all
situated in the Ra province, and on Naviti Island in the Yawasa group.
In a total of 10 days our team was able to serve these communities with
Dental, Primary Health Care, and Physiotherapy services, along with
Oral Hygiene check-ups and Health Education. (Optometry was isolated to
Naviti Island.)
After Cyclone Tomas hit Fiji things are still in great need, even in
places that escaped the cyclone itself.
Thank you so much for giving to the communities of Fiji - even though
sometimes it hurts. We continue to reach out to the most isolated areas
in the liquid continent with medical assistance and the Good News of
the Gospel. Outreaches carry on this month, both in Fiji and Samoa. We
desperately need your prayers and support to make this happen.
