2008 Marine Reach Manifesto

Psalm 25:4 “Show me the path where I should walk, O Lord; point out the right road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.”

John 14:6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”

One of the greatest challenges we face as an organisation and ministry is not the lack of finances or personnel. It is not even the world crises happening around us, nor the global trends that confront us daily. But how we proceed and act upon those circumstances presented to us and clearly hear and obey the voice of God to lead us to make the right decisions and make the values of our mission the main thing of why we do what we do.

With these in mind we commit to these manifestos as our guiding principles:

  • That the Word of God is our benchmark and our plumb line and commit to make God and His precepts first in all we do.
  • Prioritize prayer, intercession, and fasting as part of our ministry and personal lives.
  • Continue in our discipleship training and development, continually improving ourselves and the services we provide to further us both personally and professionally.
  • To make ourselves accountable to God, to leadership and peers so we can walk circumspectly with God and with others.
  • To make mercy and justice as our guiding path in pursuing the heart of God for the world.
  • To make serving the poor and needy our ministry priority and present the clear message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all as this is our calling.

May God grant us the grace to fulfil the mission and vision he has given us to pursue. May His name alone be glorified in all that is accomplished this year and beyond.
