| Greetings from Fiji! I recently completed my teaching at the multi-generational Discipleship Training School in Lautoka, Fiji, where Marine Reach has had a presence since 2002. Growing from strength to strength our Fiji base has to date impacted the lives of over 30,000 people in the Fijian Island chain with medical, dental, ophthalmic and optical services. With hundreds of dedicated people arriving here each year to partner with Marine Reach Fiji, we have seen communities transformed by building projects and medical outreaches alike. Hearts have been mended through the Christian Life Skill programs introduced in partnership with churches and local initiatives to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of each community. Your ship the Pacific Link has completed the outreach in Rotuma, Fiji with successful programs having been conducted on the island. Bringing joy to many through our sight-restoring cataract mission, there are more projects just like this yet to be done in the islands. Stay tuned for more exciting news coming your way soon! Marine Reach continues to reach out to the most isolated islands in the world as we desire to fulfil the mandate of giving precious sight to the blind. There are about 40 million blind people in the world today who could receive sight by this 20 minute operation. With our modern equipment onboard the Pacific Link we can deliver these services and give hope to those in otherwise hopeless situations.
