There are many children in the Philippines who do not have the opportunity to attend school or college because of very limited family finances.This limits job opportunities, which continues as a cycle of poverty. In response to this need and to make a difference in the lives of these children,Mercy Link facilitates financial support from overseas contacts. Your gift will enable a child to attend school for one year.

This sponsorship makes a significant difference in the lives of the children and young people, their willingness to learn and the hopes of the families. Although this is not an academic based sponsorship program, many of the sponsored children and young people do very well when given the opportunity.

To sponsor a Child for one year of elementary school it costs US$65. For one year of high school it costs US$90. College is more costly, however, it gives a young adult a higher chance of getting a better paid permanent job. We limit sponsorship for college to US$800-1500. We recognise this is a large sum and encourage groups to sponsor a child together.

If you are able to help, please contact us. We need to complete enrolment procedures by April each year to be ready for the school year, which starts first week of June.
