Gideon’s Fields

Also, just outside of Tauranga we’ve got a very cool 30 acre prayer walk called Gideon’s Fields. There is a massive waterfall and a river that runs through the length of the property. Depending on the school’s schedule, you will get to visit Gideon’s Fields at least once during your time with us. It’s beautiful there, and a great spot to pray, swim, and even try to catch an eel if you feel so inclined!

In our DTS we’re not just trying to fill your head with facts, we’re giving you a chance to think some things through so you will own the truth of Jesus and take that truth in your own individual way to the nations of the world! This is what we’re about. Its way more than summer camp, and it’s definitely not a holiday! You will be challenged to push your own personal limits for a radical relationship with God.

We are all about evangelizing and making disciples in the nations (Matthew 28:19), and we’re here to help equip you to get out there and reach your world for Jesus! It may not be the easiest thing you’ve ever done… but it certainly has the potential of being one of the best!! That part will be up to you!

If you are 35+ or married, you might want to think about our “Islands in the Sun Multi-Generational DTS” in Fiji! For more information CLICK HERE. If you are a young married couple, we are very open to discussing with you the possibility of doing a DTS aboard our ship; however accommodation is very limited, so it would be best to enquire as early as possible.

The Application Process

• Download and fill in your application form

• Complete your medical exam as soon as possible

• Give the Pastor’s Reference and Friend’s Reference Forms to the appropriate people and ask them to fill them out and send to us as soon as possible

• Make sure you have attached your 4 photos

• Send it in and wait to be accepted. We need all parts of your Application Form posted to our office before we can complete the application process

• Tell everyone you can find about your plans and ask them to be praying for you through the process

• If you need to – start raising support!

• After you are accepted – book your flights!!

• You’ll get an acceptance packet in the mail, and you need to check the immunisation update sheet to make sure you don’t need anything else

• Send us the confirmation of acceptance form with your arrival details and updated immunisation sheet

• Pay your fees – don’t forget – if you send them all in quickly, there’s a 5% discount!

• Pack your bags according to the list in the acceptance information

• Say goodbye to all your friends and family – yep, it might be a bit hard for you both!

• ARRIVE!! And get prepared for an amazing time with God and your new friends!!
